Meet the Director
George Pacheco, Director of Sandy Island Family Camp |

| George has been involved with family camps since 1981, and has been the Sandy Island Director since 1998. In addition to serving as the Sandy Island Director, George works year-round as the Executive Director of Camping Services for the YMCA of Greater Boston.
Originally from Lawrence, MA, George now resides with his wife Linda in Wolfeboro, NH. George holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education from the University of Massachussetts Amherst. Before becoming the Executive Director of Camping Services, George taught high school physics and biology. |
